What changes in-game, and when to drop in?

Drop into the event if the hours fit your schedule; keep hunting right now if you already have playtime. Epic confirmed that every player spawns with a Shock Rocket and Self-Revive during both sessions. This gives you immediate escape options and mobility, though opponents drop with the same tools.

While seasonal promotions highlight boosted loot events, Epic has not announced a specific token drop multiplier for these two windows. Leverage the guaranteed starting loadout and coordinated squad routing: net chest openings per hour remain your primary benchmark.

What is Dev Hour in Fortnite?

«Dev Hour» is community slang that spread across TikTok and YouTube clips. Some players use it interchangeably with Treasure Hours, while others weave it into compass hoaxes. Follow the confirmed Treasure Hours schedule on this page. There is no separate secret Dev Hour window, nor any special event pass required.

Your 5-minute squad checklist

  1. Assemble your team in advance. Assign dedicated buildings at your landing POI so no one wastes time opening already looted chests.
  2. Pick a primary and a backup circuit. If your primary drop is heavily contested, pivot immediately instead of burning precious session minutes fighting.
  3. Equip your leveled Sprite. If you already have Plundarrgh, bring it into the match now; do not wait around for Monday.
  4. Check your quest chest tracker. Log your chest count before your first drop to measure your squad’s true hourly pace.
  5. Leverage the Shock Rocket. Use your free rocket to escape contested landings or leap directly to the next chest cluster.
